You are so right about adverts and AI on Pinterest. I believe Pinterest is trying to deal with the AI problem though. So hopefully there will be a way to stop those weirdly shaped animals with six legs and three eyes popping up in our feeds.
And you're right about some not being able to recognize it. I watched some videos about it and after that I was able to recognize it....for now. I'm sure that will change as it gets harder to spot. And once I could recognize it, I realized just how much of it is out there...for sale in "clip art bundles" etc.
I suppose a lot of people don’t care how the image was made. Even if it’s clearly AI, if it’s cute to them or served the purpose, they’ll hit like, share etc.

And it seemed to appear suddenly. One minute everything was fine and then overnight the AI folks discovered Pinterest.
